Lancia LC2
This Lancia was captured at Silverstone and is a panning masterclass. The front portion of the car is in focus and tack sharp and the vehicle’s high-speed – paired with a shutter speed of 1/125 sec – has created streaks of motion blur. If that wasn’t enough, a flame has been captured from the exhaust and the image has been shot at sunset, resulting in beautiful pink hues and golden light.

Potato Ridging
First place-worthy! An aerial drone photo capturing a farm scene with a Caterpillar Challenger preparing a field for potato planting. The shot is outstanding, boasting excellent composition with perfectly straight lines and vibrant colors. Birds circling around the moving tractor add a fascinating element, making the composition truly captivating and attention-grabbing. Well done!

On to the winning image. This shot stood out as a likely winner as soon as I saw it. It certainly fits the brief for the colour brown, and aside from the tiny white specks of the birds, brown fills the frame. Composition works really well, with more or less two thirds ridged earth and one third smooth. Great care looks to have been taken with ensuring the lines are all truly vertical, which adds impact to the shot. Congratulations on your winning image.

Well done on a number one image. I feel this shot fits the brief perfectly and I love the angle which I guess is done with a drone,. I like the contrast of organised lines and then the slight chaos of the birds reflected well in the shot. Congrats on the best image.

People Watching
An evocative image that is loaded with potential meanings. The figure in the foreground has been skillfully captured to give just the right sense of motion and narrative. The simple, but effective composition works well while the handling of the black and white tones is lovely.
